PROPER TRAINING PROVIDES TEAM RUBICON MEMBERS A HOST OF OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARPEN THE CORE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO SAFELY PERFORM DISASTER OPERATIONS.
Sure, you have skills. Maybe you have an engineering degree. Maybe you have a diploma in using a shovel. Maybe you just have three gold stars from kindergarten for getting the shit kicked out of you. All of these are useful, but unless you know how to use them in a disaster response scenario, they can do more harm than good.
We offer a multitude of training opportunities, from broad spectrum operational concepts to how to strip and oil a chainsaw.
In order to qualify for a basic deployment with Team Rubicon Canada, you’ll need to have completed these three courses:
Complete the introduction to the internationally recognized Incident Command System
See how the ICS structure fits into a National system (USA specific for now)
To take the above ICS examinations (after you complete the training material), use the Team Rubicon Global address in DC to sign up for a FEMA SID:
Team Rubicon Global, Ltd.
1509 16th St. NW
Washington, DC 20036
When you complete a stage, email your certificate to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We ensure the safety of our members and the communities we serve. We recommend visiting your local police department to obtain your criminal record check as they often offer the best rates. Personnel wishing to deploy as a medical professional with Team Rubicon will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check.
